Annual portraits of my kids. I find my preteen increasingly more difficult to photograph.
He's too big for most of my kid props and not quite big enough to do the more senior type props.
I found a few I liked none the less.
My darling little girl turned 9 recently and we had a little session.
I tried some new set ups to get something different with her - some new backgrounds and combinations.
Here's a few of my favorites from the day's session:
I just got an order of 6 new backdrops to try out.
The wooden door will be great with everything from Seniors wanting a punch of color, to themed children's portraits. The brick wall was actually a request from a customer - but I can see this being a neat addition to seniors also, very urban.
The window would be cute with babies and little girls - can be used with stone floor (which also works well with the door as well). Then there's the retro floor - Seniors and funky kids alike will love the look of this!
And then another wood floor - darker than the previous one I bought - will make those vintage styled portraits look even better!
Schedule your session today! I can't wait to try these out!
This girl had such a rock 'n roll vibe to her we had to do some edgier portraits of her with her leather jacket and I thought she was a perfect subject to try my new B&W checkered floor with as well. She also loves to play the guitar so we incorporated that as well with some of my new backdrops. Love how these turned out.
Environmental shots were done in close by and the covered bridge was done in Milton, WV.
I had a session with this sweet girl - took some indoor senior pictures of her and just had to show off her pretty red hair. We're going to do outdoors when the leaves have turned and the weather is nice (i.e. not raining).
Some of my favorite from this session:
My second wedding this month - this one was done locally in Winfield.
Beautiful bride, and lovely setting with the reception and formals being done at a local country club.
I wish them many years of happiness!
I got hired to cover this couples wedding at Lake Stephens outside of Beckley, WV earlier this month. A vintage theme - very lovely and very different. And I think I got some of the coolest bridal shots ever of these two. I wish them many years of happiness.
These were hands down some of my favorites, not just from the day but ever!
My gigs seem to be doubling up this month - here's my second 1 year old session.
The parents didn't want the traditional cake and balloon pictures I'm so fond of doing. But more clean portraits done, so I obliged. We also took a few of his older brother and tried to get some of them together.
Here's a few of my favorites:
And my new name collages - think it turned out cute - they're 4x12 or 6x18 prints:
Deadline for Senior Portraits are usually in November so you only have a couple of months to get your shots done. With the leaves starting to change, now is the time for some AWESOME outdoor portraits in addition to your studio shots.
I have 3 senior packages available - starting at only $50.
All sessions include:
Studio time & on location outdoor portraits (larger sessions have option to do environmental shots).
At least 2 outfits and 1 cap & gown picture (more outfit changes with larger sessions).
A print package (the bigger the session, the larger the print package).
The largest package also comes with a bound custom hardcover album.
Option to buy your printable CD - you can print what ever pictures you wish, where ever you want.
You can't beat this deal!
My weekends are filling up quickly to get these shots done - so call and book an appointment now!
Note: New backdrops arriving at the end of September!
Another session with this little guy, I've photographed him since he was a newborn.
First birthday sessions are usually fun, if they're feeling good they have a ball smashing the cake.
This little guy had too much partying the day before and wasn't feeling his best (it's bad if you don't want cake!). Despite that I think we got some cute "pre-cake" pictures...the mom had found a few props she wanted to include (o-n-e) - so we made composites out of them.
With fall sports starting up - I'd love a chance to practice some sport portraits!
If you or your child is involved in a fall sport and would like some free prints in exchange for me to do some test shots, then give me a call or send me an email!
I'll offer you a choice of:
5x7 mounted in folio as seen above + 8 wallets.
8x10 Memory Mate - personalized with your child's info (team, number, coach, etc).
Any sport except Football and Baseball (which I've already covered) goes and I'm flexible with dates and times. Also worth mentioning, if you have several kids, I'll be happy to take portraits of each of them, you'll receive the above choices for EACH of the kids.
Portrait samples will be used in my portfolio (I will not publish the Memory Mate with you child's info of course!).
Went to western Florida this year and enjoyed the sunsets.
Living on the east coast makes these spectacular sunsets over the water a rare treat.
My children were playing on the beach one evening, so I saw my opportunity to take a few pictures of them.
I love these backlit shots and thought I'd upload a few of my favorites.
The last two were taken during the day when my oldest was intent on figuring out how to skim-board.
