New York, New York!

Had a girls weekend in NYC this spring. Its not my first visit to NYC but we sure hit all the tourist spots and got a great workout in the process, it was a busy 2.5 days with lots of walking. We even squeezed in a Broadway show...lots of fun that must be repeated!

Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty.

The new World Trade Center buildings (love the reflection!), the Washington Arch (reminds me of the Arc de Triomphe).

The Flat Iron building, Times Square at Night.

Rockerfeller Center and Radio City Music Hall both at night.

Manhattan Skyline as seen from Staten Island ferry (I truly miss the WTC towers in the skyline), and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Lighthouse galore!

I was blessed with 2 vacations this year and since I'm the lucky one who gets to plan these vacations, I usually try to sneak in a few lighthouses along the way.
On the west coast of Florida I got to see both the Boca Grande lighthouses.

On the eastern side of Florida and up the coast I took pictures of:
St Augustine Lighthouse, St Simon Lighthouse in GA.

And in the OBX I re-shot portraits of Ocracoke Lighthouse, Hatteras and Bodie Island Lighthouses.

Now when I've seen most of the accessible lighthouses down past Norfolk, I think its time for a New England vacation. ;)

Summer Country Wedding

I had the privilege to photograph the marriage of this young at heart couple a few weeks ago.

Slightly out of the norm for my weddings, not many "prior" photos of the bride and she was not very particular in the formals, so I just tried to capture their joy that day. :)  To find love at this age is wonderful to see, I wish them many happy years together!

9 Month Cutie!

A few weeks ago I had a session with this little guy. Its my 4th session with him and its a joy to watch him grow.
The mom wanted some shots of him in his overalls, so we did a slighty rustic look with his dad's old hunting chest and my new wood floor and damask. And I love B&W's at this age...OK maybe not quite this age, he had just figured out crawling so we had all worked up a sweat by the time we got the shots we needed, but cute nonetheless!

6 Year Portraits

Annual portraits of this little ham, starting to think we've got a supermodel in the making in this one.
She does very well in her sessions and I got a chance to try one of my new BGs with her (the white and purple one) and a new girly prop (umbrella)...love how these came out. Here's my favorites from the day:
